Chicken Katsu Curry ( Japanese curry with chicken cutlets )

 Chicken Katsu curry  is also known as panko chicken or tori Katsu . It is a Japanese dish of fried chicken made with panko bread crumbs which is also popular in a lot of places like Italy , Hawaii. London , California etcs . Chicken Katsu curry is a Japanese style fried chicken . It is very delicious in taste . It is my mom's best recipe to me . This is my family recipe and can also be used to make tonkatsu by using pork cutlet instead of Chicken . Serve with white rice and tonkatsu sauce .

What are the ingredients required to make Chicken Katsu curry : 

Ingredients

1. 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves pounded to ½ inch thickness .

2. Salt and pepper according to taste .

3. 2 tablespoon all purpose flour .

4. 1 egg , beaten .

5. 1 cup panko bread crumbs .

6. 1 cup oil for frying, or according to need .

How to make Chicken Katsu curry: 



Direction

Step 1 : 

Season chicken breast on both sides with salt and pepper . Place flour , 1 beaten egg and panko crumbs into separate shallow dishes . Coat chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess ; dip into egg  and then press into panko crumbs until well coated on both sides of chicken .

Step 2

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place chicken in the hot oil and fry until it coloured golden brown upto 5 minutes per side . Transfer to paper towel lined plate to drain .

Step 3 : 

Try to serve Chicken Katsu with Japanese salad dressing for dipping .
